Simple things...
Yes, any mother knows that it is just a simple gesture from your family that can make your heart sing. Sam gave me that gesture today.You woulda thought it was mother's day. Let me preface by saying that my 'no boys allowed sign' came down awhile ago and Sam has been not as '11' as he had been...whew!!!!! So this morning Sam wakes up and comes down with his ipod blaring...
I was already starting to yell at him, then I look and see his smile and the music starts to register in my head.
"MOM", he said. "I went through every one of his songs on itunes last night and this is my favorite." My boy downloaded Dan Fogelberg!!! Hey, I must be doing something right. I couldn't be more proud if he was graduating medical school. So I figure, there is hope in the world. Yes, there is always hope and of coarse, there is always some Dan.(www.danfogelberg.com) 
It is wet and dreary and cold here. A perfect day to grab a coffee, put on some Dan and go get some sewing done. I wish for all of you the equivalent of a sweet boy and little Dan Fogelberg in your day.
P.S. Doug knows that Dan is my boyfriend...and that's o.k. with him! Thanks Doug, if only you could sing, but hey, I married you!

A lot of Dan's music is quality stuff, and the best of his stuff never made it to the top ten lists either. He may not be the flavor of the month anymore, but there will always be people with open ears discovering and rediscovering his stuff. Personally, Nether Lands has always been high on my "desert island disc" list.

"Dan" is the "Man" darlink...glad to hear that our doing something creative and fun.....
