I can't believe it is the end of October and I haven't been on my own blog since July! I think that would be considered "checking out" for a while. I think I am back for good this time. Life has thrown me some challenges in the past few months (few years) and I have been trying to get it all figured out. We all have unwanted stresses and challenges put in front of us and I think it just depends on how we choose to handle the problems that will determine how we come out on the other side. I'm not on the other side yet, but I am working on it. I decided that focusing on creating and sharing with you might help me get to that other side a little bit quicker.
What's New...
I am still making my paperweights and I am having so much fun with them. It is amazing to me what can become of those little scraps of fabric that are laying around. I have been working on then diligently because this is the perfect time of year for them. They make such great little gifts. Now my friends may have figured out what they will be getting for Christmas. In case you didn't know, they are available at my etsy shop...stitch321
Also in the news...I am teaching a class at my favorite local quilt shop, Eagle Creek Quilt Shop in Shakopee. The class is tomorrow and I have a lot of fun planned. I am teaching a 2 paneled hanging quilt called "Waiting on Spring". I have a surprise prize package to give away at class. I am hoping that someone has picked out beautiful fall colors to do the quilt in instead of the spring colors that I made it out of. The prize will go to whoever steps out of the box and chooses a different color way than I did. If there is more than one person, I may be in trouble, I'll give you a full report with pictures on how the class goes and the winning quilter.
Also, featured in my class tomorrow will be a big basket full of my good friend CeCe's ribbons and floss from her company The Thread Gatherer Please visit her there if you haven't already. I get inspired looking at all the beautiful colors!
I promise to be back and share pictures of my class tomorrow and I am hoping to get some pictures of Eagle Creek Quilt Shop to share too.
enjoy your day!
