I hope everyone is enjoying their summer! I have been busy rearranging my sewing room, and sewing up a bit! In between my sewing I have been connecting with some great girlfriends and trying to enjoy what MN has to offer this time of year...ya know, land of 10,000 lakes! I love every bit of water I can lay my eyes on. Yesterday Paige and I were able to spend about an hour at the beach in Waconia. We read and relaxed in the late afternoon sun and then when I was good and hot, I jumped in the lake! aaahhhhhhhhh, refreshing!
That little bit of time by the lake totally restored my soul. Sometimes it just doesn't take much...
Then I spent friday with a group of special friend's. These are the wives who have made these crazy moves as we have followed our husband's wherever the company took us. It is so great to have that support system of other woman who knows what it is like to pick up your whole life and move our families again. So, we spent a few hours together for lunch and it was great! That day also restored my soul as we were able to laugh and talk and sit on Lake Minnetonka as we had lunch. I am going backwards here, but on Thursday, I also had a special day! My new friend Pam paid me a special visit! Pam is quickly becoming a great friend and sharing all of her sweetness with me! She is a talented writer, she enjoys nature and has so much to share. It seems that we have a lot in common. One special thing about Pam is that she does
"fairy reading's". A week ago she was at a local antique shop for their monthly "occasional sale" and Pam graced the store with her presence and did readings for the customer's. I went and had a reading done and boy were the fairies surrounding me that day! Pam and I both had chill's with my reading, it was so right on with what is going on in my life right now! When Pam does her reading's she has a few Fairy Garden's that she had made that she brings with. To my dismay, Pam does not sell these. I quickly asked her if she would help me with my own. She agreed, and Thursday was our day to make my fairy garden and then treat ourselves to lunch. So as you can see, I had a soul restoring week with good friends, good food, lakes and lakes and the presence of
my fairies. I forgot to ask Pam, but my day with her reminded me of the older movie Fairy Tales...did anyone see it? If you haven't, I highly recommend it. It may make you believe in
fairies...
These are Pam's fairy garden's

I have since put a note in the frame that says, "I believe in fairies"
I have this sitting in my front courtyard to greet all friends and guests!
as Pam says...Fairy Blessings,

Awe-Inspiring Kelly!
The fairies and I greet you!
How lovely to see the garden again and read your wonder-full writing about your soul restoring times with friends, family, and nature!
I had so much fun creating this garden with you!!! It's full of whymsy and joy!
And I have seen the movie you wrote about - it's one I own and love. "Only the pure of heart believe in fairies." That is you, my dear!
Your friendship is a blessing to me. Thank you for the sparkling woman you are and for all you do to brighten up a day!

Kelly how wonderful. I have a cute little fairy who is hugging a rose that my sister gave me many years ago. She's going into a container I have, so I'll have my own fairy garden. Thank you and Pamela for the idea.*~*~here's so fairydust from me too*~*~*~
